Second Annual Greek Language Competition, Exhibit & Children's Festival

His Eminence congratulates all of the Participants at St. Nicholas Cathedral, Pittsburgh on Saturday, June 7th. Special thanks to St. Nicholas Cathedral for hosting and to Maria Stamoolis and her committee.

All students learning Greek from 2nd - 12th grade (Beginners, Intermediates, and Advanced) were invited to compete in a Vocabulary Bee, submit a poem, short story, and or exhibit artwork. Winners each received $100 along with trophies. They attended a Children's Festival with the theme "Patron Saints and Cities" Games and activities for all ages.

Vocabulary Bee Winners:
Beginners- Katerina Tsarouhas, Annunciation Akron and Christos Colonias, Kimisis tis Theotokou, Aliquippa
Intermediate- Panos Tsarouhas, Annunciation Akron

Short Stories:
Beginners- Steven Sikoutras from Sts. Constantine & Helen, Cleveland Heights and Katerina Tsarouhas, Annunciation, Akron
Intermediate- Christos Mavrogeorgis, St. Nicholas Cathedral, Pittsburgh
