1955-1960: Bishop Polyefktos of Tropaiou (Later Metropolitan of Aneon)

His Grace, the Very Reverend Polyefktos (Finfinis) of Tropaiou was an auxiliary bishop of the Greek Archdiocese of North and South America under the jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarch. He served both the Sixth (Pittsburgh) Archdiocesan District, and in South America, of the Archdiocese before being transferred to Asia Minor.

1960-1967: Bishop Theodosios of Ancona

His Grace, the Very Reverend Theodosios (Sideris) of Ancona was an auxiliary bishop of the Greek Archdiocese of North and South America under the jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarch. He served both the Sixth (Pittsburgh) Archdiocesan and the Ninth (Canadian) Archdiocesan Districts of the Archdiocese before his retirement in 1973.

1967-1977: Bishop Gerasimos of Abydos

Bishop Gerasimos (Papadopoulos) of Abydos (October 10, 1910 – June 12, 1995) was a titular bishop of the Ecumenical Patriarchate serving in the United States. He oversaw districts of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of North and South America in Boston and Pittsburgh, but is remembered most vividly as a mentor to many students of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, Massachusetts, during his time as a professor and administrator, and later as spiritual father in residence.

1977-1979: Bishop Anthimos of Christoupolis (Later of Olympos)

His Grace, the Very Reverend Anthimos (Drakonakis) of Christoupolis was an auxiliary bishop of the Greek Archdiocese of North and South America under the jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarch. He served the Sixth (Pittsburgh) Archdiocesan District during the period when the Archdiocese was reorganized from its composition as Districts to a Diocese-based administration.

1979-2011: Metropolitan Maximos of Pittsburgh

His Eminence Metropolitan Maximos (Aghiorgoussis) was elected in March 1979, and enthroned as the first bishop of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis (then Diocese) of Pittsburgh on April 27, 1979, serving until his retirement in August of 2011.
